Vivo’s set to release the X500 Ultra smartphone on a global scale which would widen the high-end range of Vivo outside of their home market. The international model numbers popping up indicate that Vivo is going to be targeting the major flagship phone competitors for Vivo’s global market. The Vivo X500 Ultra looks to be an interesting option for high-end Android users and may see a release sometime in March/April 2027.

IMEI database entries confirm Vivo X500 Ultra model V2660 for international markets

Vivo’s X500 Ultra smartphone is showing up in the international market with the model number V2660 as per the latest IMEI database entries. An additional entry for the Brazilian market points towards the model number J2613, using the Jovi brand name Vivo uses in Brazil. These identifiers make it clear that the hardware is approved for regulatory testing and sale in a number of markets.

With the leaked specs which points towards Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and a 6.85-inches (2K+) LTPO display, we can expect a high-end phone in terms of performance.

Camera details are still unknown with the rumours about the resolution of the main camera as well as the telephoto lens size still changing. Vivo is yet to confirm the camera specs which makes all the camera specs just tips for now and not confirmed facts. Specific hardware details have not been confirmed by Vivo as yet. The information available for now is based on leaked information which hasn’t been verified.

The launch of this phone hasn’t been pinned down to a specific date as of yet but leaks indicate that a China launch may occur sometime around March/April 2027. A global launch will occur sometime after the China launch, which would be typical of Vivo’s launch pattern for the Ultra series. March/April 2027 launch rumours point towards a rough timeframe in which we can expect the phone to be released.

This seems to be in line with Vivo’s strategy of having different high-end smartphones for different market segments. The latest flagship device from Vivo will be the Vivo X500 Ultra.
