Vivo is rolling out the X500 Pro Max with regional battery variations impacting the runtime. Battery conscious buyers can now pick between the European model that is smaller or the bigger versions for other regions. The regional battery variations mean users have to look at their local availability and get the desired battery capacity for their use case.
Global variant adds eSIM support and larger battery for less than the European retail price
The Vivo X500 Pro Max smartphone model for the European region has a 6,750 mAh battery to comply with the regional requirements. Meanwhile, the Chinese model carries a huge 8,000 mAh battery. There is also a global model (including HK) with reportedly a 7,800 mAh battery that is in between the two models.
- Battery Capacity (China): 8,000 mAh
- Battery Capacity (EU): 6,750 mAh
- Battery Capacity (Global/HK): 7,800 mAh
- EU Price: €1,799
- Global/HK Price: €1,604
The price tags for these different regional models are vastly different. The European model has a retail price tag of 1,799 EUR (~$2,022). On the other hand, the global and HK version have a 1,604 EUR (~$1,803) price tag for the 12/512 GB storage variant. It is cheaper for international users in terms of pricing when it comes to the global variant.
The global model adds eSIM and Wear OS support which is missing from the barebones Chinese model (the cheapest version). Note for US users that it might be missing some specific LTE bands 12, 13, and n71. We have been closely following Vivo X500 Pro Max.
