GMKtec has introduced the G5S, a compact mini PC designed for users who need a small footprint for basic computing tasks. The device measures just 72x72x44.5mm, making it easy to mount behind a monitor or place on a crowded desk without taking up much space. This form factor targets buyers who prioritize space efficiency over raw processing power for everyday office work or media consumption.
Compact 72mm chassis features Celeron N5095 and 8GB RAM for basic tasks
The system runs on an Intel Celeron N5095 processor, which serves as the core of this entry-level machine. GMKtec pairs this low-power CPU with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM to handle standard multitasking duties. The hardware configuration suggests the device is built for light workloads rather than intensive gaming or video editing.
Specifications
- Dimensions: 72x72x44.5mm
- Processor: Intel Celeron N5095
- Memory: 8GB LPDDR4
- Storage Options: 128GB or 256GB, plus M.2 2242 SSD slot

The cooling system utilizes a copper heat pipe combined with a silent fan to manage thermal output during operation. GMKtec states that this setup allows the processor to deliver 10W of performance while maintaining quiet operation. The 128GB model is priced at 1149 CNY (around $169), while the 256GB version costs 1849 CNY (around $272).
GMKtec has already launched the G5S in China, with the global market expected to receive the device soon. We looked at similar palm-sized mini PCs earlier while tracking budget hardware releases.
