This is important because it's a complete and portable solution for less than $200 making it a great candidate for a second workstation or even a basic home server. Any consumer interested in a small, inexpensive mini pc for browsing and editing documents would be interested in this new arrival.

Budget mini PC features 270g chassis and dual M.2 slots for around $200

The MaxMini B3 Turbo is powered by the Celeron N5095 processor which offers 4 cores and 4 threads running at a 15w power envelope. A very entry level solution aimed at simple computing needs that won't throw off too much heat and noise. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics with 16EU's takes care of video output and light media duties. Gaming is out of the question.

Specifications

  • CPU: Intel Celeron N5095 (4-core, 4-thread, 15W)
  • RAM: 8 GB LPDDR4 (non-upgradeable)
  • Storage: 256 GB SSD (M.2 2280) + 1x vacant M.2 2280 slot
  • GPU: Intel UHD Graphics (16 EUs)
  • Dimensions/Weight: 270 grams, 3.4 cm thickness

The ram and storage are fixed but with some room for growth. There's non upgradable 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Not too much flexibility in the future for heavier multi tasking needs.

Storage is also provided by a 256GB SSD which fits one of the dual M.2 2280 slots. The other is open for more storage options if needed.

The dimensions and connections for this compact mini pc are as follows. The weight is very light at just 270g with a thickness of 3.4cm. That's very easy to mount behind a monitor or put in a bag. There are dual HDMI 2.0 ports, dual USB 3.0 Type-A, a 1G Ethernet port and 3.5mm audio jack for normal accessories.

The MaxMini B3 Turbo is expected to cost around $200usd. Same as the N4500 processor equipped variant. Exact pricing information is hidden for now as the product is listed for 'coming soon' globally. Bringing it to a very accessible price tag for the budget conscious consumer looking for a usable mini pc.
