HANDHELD GAMING

Acer has introduced the Predator Atlas 7, a new handheld gaming PC that shrinks the company's previous flagship design into a more portable form factor. This shift matters because it offers a 7-inch display option for users who find larger screens too bulky for travel or handheld use. The device aims to deliver modern gaming performance in a compact chassis that fits easily into a backpack or large pocket.

New compact handheld packs Arc B390 graphics and TMR controls

The Atlas 7 runs on the Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with integrated Arc B390 graphics. This hardware combination powers a 7-inch FHD touchscreen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate technology. The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, ensuring accurate visuals for gaming and media consumption.

Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Arc G3 Extreme
  • Graphics: Intel Arc B390
  • Display Size: 7-inch
  • Display Resolution: FHD (1920 x 1080)
  • Refresh Rate: 120Hz

Inside the chassis, the system supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe storage. Power comes from an 80 Wh battery, which Acer claims can sustain gameplay for extended periods. The cooling system uses a custom metal 89-blade Predator AeroBlade fan that is just 0.1 mm thick, along with a secondary fan and Vortex Flow tuning to manage heat.

Acer states the device can run modern titles like Forza Horizon 6 at 1080p with High or Ultra settings by leveraging 3 upscaling. The controller features TMR joysticks to prevent stick drift, Hall-effect analog triggers, and programmable rear buttons for customizable inputs. There is currently no word on pricing or availability for this new model. Buyers will need to wait for official details before they can order the device. The company has not yet confirmed release dates or regional launch information for the Predator Atlas 7.
