With World of Warcraft: Forever's launch date set for November 5, 2026, Blizzard Entertainment is working to release this new title. That said, there's already a lot of chatter within the community about how the new title will change character animations. A content creator named Preserve Azeroth has taken to comparing the new version of the title to World of Warcraft Classic.

Community petition urges Blizzard to restore classic animations before November 2026 launch

What they noticed is that there are no breast jiggle physics, or even breathing animations for female characters that are either removed entirely or severely reduced. This is a big deal to fans of the original game that are quite attached to the unique visual characteristics of the title. That's why there's a petition out there by fans called 'Make Azeroth Jiggle Again' trying to get the developer to change back to have these elements present.

The issue revolves around the fact that the character models are technically being handled differently in the Forever version. When compared to the Forever version, Preserve Azeroth noticed that the animations that were seen in the Classic version are not there or are heavily reduced in the new version. Fans want Blizzard to respond to these changes and to reintroduce classic physics. It's unclear whether or not this is an intentional design choice or the result of some sort of technical changes that were made.

As this community debate is ongoing, Blizzard Entertainment is currently selling the in-game reward bundles for the upcoming title. We don't know if it's intentional that the animations are gone or if it's a technical side effect of their work that Blizzard Entertainment is still remaining silent on the matter. We'll see how this development pans out as November 2026 draws closer.

As we mentioned, Blizzard is selling the in-game reward bundles for the upcoming title. But that doesn't help bring back the animations that the community wants to see.

In our coverage of the last World of Warcraft: Forever update, we saw similar themes of balance and stability factors pop up. For now, we're still seeing the focus shift to the launch of this new title and how the community is reacting to these visual changes. The petition shows how much fans are invested in the unique style of animations found in the original game. Whether or not Blizzard will leave things as they are or go back to the Classic-style physics is something they need to decide before launch.
