Alienware is expanding its monitor lineup with two new VA panel models that target gamers who want high refresh rates without the premium price. The AW3226DM and AW3426DM bring 240 Hz and a 1500R curve to the table, and both ship in July 2026.

Two new VA monitors with 240Hz
The AW3426DM is a 34-inch ultrawide with a 3440×1440 resolution, while the AW3226DM is a 27-inch model with a 2560×1660 panel. Both use VA technology, which typically offers deeper blacks and higher contrast than IPS alternatives.
Spec comparison
| Spec | AW3426DM | AW3226DM |
|---|---|---|
| Panel Size | 34-inch | 27-inch |
| Resolution | 3440×1440 | 2560×1660 |
| Refresh Rate | 240 Hz | 240 Hz |
| Brightness | 450 nits | 450 nits |
| Response Time | 1 ms GtG | 1 ms GtG |
Key specs are identical across the two monitors: 240 Hz refresh rate, 450 nits peak brightness, 1 ms GtG response time, and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. They also support AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync for tear-free gaming.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port with 15W charging, plus a USB-B upstream and one USB-A downstream. An anti-glare coating is standard on both models.
Pricing is aggressive: the AW3426DM costs 399.99 USD (about $400), and the AW3226DM costs 299.99 USD (about $300). Both will be available in the US starting July 2026.
Alienware has offered curved gaming monitors before, but these are the first to combine VA panels with a 240 Hz refresh rate at these price points. The move suggests Dell is targeting the mid-range gaming segment where IPS panels have dominated.
The AW3226DM and AW3426DM deliver high-refresh VA performance at competitive prices. Gamers looking for a curved, fast monitor with solid color accuracy now have two affordable options from Alienware.
