So let's take a closer look at this unofficial PC port. An unofficial port made by passionates & hackers, not Sony Interactive Entertainment. The project is aimed at the PlayStation exclusive Gran Turismo Sport.

And they've managed to port the game engine to PC architecture. You can download it now on GitHub to play Gran Turismo Sport on anything but PlayStation.

As for technical changes, we get better visual fidelity and a more stable performance thanks to 3.1 with . For the port they added custom shader compilation options to avoid stuttering. You get to pre-compile shaders on the start screen.

Or else the game pause only if it detects a new shader. Therefore, the game remains smooth.

Developers have tested and confirmed that it takes about 25s to compile 13600 graphics pipelines during this start-up. Also they mention that after that initial shader compile, game launches are way quicker. These are all the technical aspects to make the port more usable, even if it is unofficial.
