HANDHELDS

Erazer U126 provides you with a unique dual OS experience for those who need both the productivity of Windows and mobility of Android at their fingertips. The detachable 2in1 tablet is designed for the readers who are not fond of taking both their computers with them to work and entertainment respectively. As per the claim, you will have no trouble switching between Windows and Android 16. How it works – this is not the thing the vendor wanted to explain.

In addition to that, there's an on-board Intel graphics and Intel AI Boost NPU for processing AI tasks on the device.

The claim of seamless OS switching is technically absurd without a hypervisor layer. Android on ARM handles its kernel differently than Windows on x86. This is marketing fluff.

I need a device that works on the train. Does the Android mode actually support the same apps as the tablet version or just the web store?

It uses the Windows subsystem for Android. You get the same UWP apps. No native APKs in that mode.

ngl $823 is steep for an 8GB base model. The battery is tiny too. 3500mAh will die fast on a 12 inch screen.

dual os is cool i guess but who needs two keyboards 🤔

The screen looks lovely. I just hope the weight feels balanced in one hand. 760g is a bit heavy for long reading sessions.
