Hello Games released a maintenance patch for No Man's Sky on September 16, targeting players who encountered stability issues after the recent Cosmos update. Version 7.03 for consoles and 7.003 for PC addresses a wide range of bugs that can disrupt gameplay. This release ensures that the major content drop runs smoothly on current hardware configurations.

Hello Games releases maintenance patch for consoles and PC

The update applies to both console and PC versions of the game, maintaining cross-platform compatibility. Hello Games deployed these changes to resolve technical debt accumulated during the previous major release. Players on all supported platforms receive the same core stability improvements.

Key technical fixes include improvements to Alliance visuals, such as additional banner colors and better UI legibility. The patch resolves LOD issues with space hulks and fixes inventory clipping with trader ship AI. Developers also corrected mission-related bugs, including a fix for placing exterior parts on space stations.

Additional changes address session and multiplayer stability, specifically self-damage from mining lasers and corvette technology positioning. Visual enhancements improve texture compression, shader performance, and FrameGen support. Crash fixes target ship summoning, inventory rendering, enemy ships, ragdolls, geometry streaming, and physics memory management.
