Before the official release of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the 5th of November, we can see how it is already running on PC which makes us realize the great security vulnerability that the new Switch 2 will have. We can see the initial footage of the emulator and how the game has some problems to achieve a final performance on the retail version. This leak shows that the security of this console isn't completely safe to the Reverse engineers.
Pre-release footage reveals performance issues on the Lichii emulator
This footage has come from the emulator Lichii which is associated with the previous homebrew apps from Switch, such as Yuzu. We can see in the One Jailbreak X account where a user has made some posts of the game playing on their PC. We have been following the development of this remake closely, as we mentioned on the past article: Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake Launches
- Emulator: Lichii
- Resolution: 1080p
- Frame Rate: 20 to 60 fps
- Release Date: November 5th
We can see that this emulator can play the game in 1080p resolution. We can see how the framerates varies from 20 to 60fps while the game is being played. The video looks with some sort of desaturation which makes it harder to see the main character Link. There is no information about the PC we are using in these tests.
Regarding the sound, we have the opposite results. As we can see in the Lichii report, the background music is running without problems. We can see how the sound quality is impressive, despite the visual stuttering. Nintendo is trying to fix the security issues by recalling the physical cartridges and by removing the tools for software.
We have the remake coming in the 5th of November. In the current emulator tests we can see how it is working, although with some bad visual flaws. We only have the source of the footage from a post in social media from an account associated with jailbreak stuff. This isn't the final result we will see in the retail version.

Washed out colors and stuttering. This is not how you sell a console.
The audio quality is reportedly fine. The video pipeline is the bottleneck.
