PC HARDWARE

Khadas launches Super Early Bird reservations for 3-in-1 Windows tablet workstation powered by Lunar Lake. The Mind Go is designed for people that want a small device that can work as a stand-alone tablet. It can also be used as a laptop thanks to the magnetic keyboard.

Modular Lunar Lake device switches between tablet, laptop, and desktop modes

Or, you can connect it to a docking station and turn it into a mini-PC. Thanks to the modular design, you can adapt the setup for your needs. That means you don't have to carry multiple devices. The Super Early Bird reservations are available at a major discount and you can enjoy the high-end specs of Lunar Lake before the official launch.

Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 226V or Core Ultra 7 258V
  • Memory: 16 GB or 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533
  • Storage: 512 GB or 1 TB SSD
  • Display: 11.6-inch IPS, 2800 x 2000, 120 Hz
  • Battery: 53 Wh total (18 Wh tablet + 35 Wh keyboard)

The 11.6-inch IPS screen has a 2800 x 2000 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The tablet has a 12 W processor and a 18 Wh battery. You get another 35 Wh battery with the magnetic keyboard for a total of 53 Wh.

That's enough for 12 hours of video playback, according to Khadas. You can also use the Mind Go as a desktop (with the docking station) for a total TDP of up to 30 W for heavy usage.

The Mind Go is powered by one of two Intel Core Ultra processors. You can get the Core Ultra 5 226V or Core Ultra 7 258V. There's also a choice between 16 GB and 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM.

You can get 512 GB or 1 TB SSD storage. Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 are part of the connectivity. There's also an RJ45 Ethernet port if you use the desktop dock. Khadas says the Intel Arc integrated GPU performs as well or better than the Radeon 780M in games.

The Mind Go is priced differently depending on which bundle you buy and specs. The Everyday Laptop bundle with the Core Ultra 5 model is $1,999 USD (~$1,999). For the Everyday Laptop Plus with the Core Ultra 7 model, you'll pay $2,699 USD (~$2,699). 3-in-1 Essential bundle with the Core Ultra 5 model will set you back $2,799 USD (~$2,799).

Lastly, the 3-in-1 Ultimate bundle with the Core Ultra 7 model is $3,399 USD (~$3,399). You can save up to $500 off these MSRP prices with Super Early Bird reservations.

You can place your reservation on Khadas website for the Mind Go before the official launch date. The Mind Go hasn't been officially launched yet. That means you won't be able to get it shipped right away.

This is an interesting example of the modular tablet workstations that combine portability with all the connection options of a desktop. If you want Lunar Lake performance in a detachable form, you can use the reservation process to get one.

The price is ridiculous for an 11 inch screen. You are paying for the Lunar Lake badge.
