DIY build requires circuit board and 3D printer

The watch uses a 100mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 months of use. It has a backlit E Ink screen for readability in sunlight and darkness. There is a speaker but no accelerometer, which the project says would consume too much power.

LightInk is a DIY project, not available for purchase. Users must assemble the watch themselves, including having a circuit board manufactured and using a 3D printer for the case.

The watch sits between a regular wristwatch and a smartwatch. It lacks a companion app, and the project is hosted on GitHub.
