Epic Games released Fortnite update v41.30 on July 30, bringing fresh mechanics and stability fixes to players across all platforms. This patch introduces Spider-Man Web Shooters for faster traversal and adds the Lucky Locator Gizmo to help players find missing collectibles. We tracked these changes to see how they impact the current loot pool and mobile controls.

Web Shooters and Spire Rifle join the loot pool in the latest patch

The update arrives as version 5.15 for console gamers and v41.30 for PC and mobile users. Epic Games stated, "Epic Games has released a new major update for Fortnite, and this is for v41.30! It’s live now on all platforms, and this shows up as Fortnite update 5.15 for console gamers." The game now features new Sprites like the Lootin’ Llama and Peeky Peely, alongside the new Lucky Locator Gizmo that guarantees a chest with a missing Sprite.

  • Patch Version: v41.30 / 5.15
  • New Feature: Spider-Man’s Web Shooters
  • New Feature: Lucky Locator Gizmo
  • Loot Pool Change: Spire Rifle UNVAULTED
  • Loot Pool Change: Business Turret, Chaos Exploder Rifle VAULTED

Weapon balance shifts significantly in this patch. Epic Games unvaulted the Spire Rifle, making it available in Common to Epic rarities. Conversely, the Business Turret and Chaos Exploder Rifle are now vaulted and removed from the loot pool. Players can also obtain Spider-Man’s Web Shooters for 2,000 Gold at The Battlewoods point of interest or find them in chests.

Platform-specific fixes address long-standing control and stability issues. Mobile players can now double-tap anywhere in the movement area to autorun, even when the Move Stick is hidden. PC users receive a fix for crashes that occurred in DirectX 12 rendering mode. We looked at the last Fortnite update earlier while tracking balance changes, and this patch continues that focus on stability.

Datamining reveals upcoming Season 4 content, including collabs with Sonic, Pac-Man, Tetris, and Persona 5. Some source material lists dates in 2026, which appears to be a typo for 2024. The update also introduces LIL TECCA’s RANSOM EMOTE, adding more customization options for players.
