For Elden Ring, Bandai Namco has revealed that there are 36.4 million units of the game sold across Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. This results in a revenue of ~$2 billion. This is a huge sale and clearly makes the game one of the biggest games in the market.
Bandai Namco reports massive engagement and revenue for the FromSoftware title
Over 9.8 million people have spent over 100 hours in the Lands Between. This number of players shows that the game is not just a fad but it has longevity in the market.
To note, these numbers are based on the core game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco. We're talking about all the major digital platforms and consoles combined. These numbers show us that the game is still having new players joining it even years after its launch.
Very rarely do ARPGs have such long term playability. Most games see a very steep drop-off in the amount of players that use the game after it's initially launched.
Let's look at some of the stats in more detail to see just how much people are getting into the game. Almost 3.5 million players have attained all the achievements and trophies in the game. The rate of completions differs for each platform.
For PlayStation, we see 10.9% of players complete it. For Steam, it's 10.5%. For Xbox, it's 3.9%.
There are some differences between the platforms that could be contributing to the lower number of completions on Xbox. It could be the difference in the achievements system or player demographics.
Elden Ring's main game has done well but there has also been interest in other products. The PvE spin-off, Elden Ring: Nightreign has managed to sell 7.8 million units. This amounts to a revenue of $282 million for 2025.
So, there's enough steam in the franchise to produce spin-offs as well. We can clearly see how powerful the brand is with these sales of the main game and the spin-off game.
As for recently, the game is still relevant in 2026. In 2025, the game sold roughly 2 million copies. It earned a revenue of almost $110 million.
This clearly shows that the game is still gaining new players even years after the game's launch. There's a clear indication that Bandai Namco has managed to find a revenue stream with just one IP. And it's a big one.
