Jagex pushed out a hotfix for RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.001.002 on October 23. This latest update is aimed to address stability concerns that lead to gameplay interruptions on consoles. Players using controllers can expect to encounter less UI freezing when interacting with stackable inventory items. These updates aim to fix friction in areas for both solo and multi-player gaming.
Jagex patches controller UI freezes and world join limits in latest update
Several combat and resource handling bugs were patched with this update that could interfere with player progress. The Air Magic Staff Attack Combo will now do damage on the fourth strike as expected. For Runecrafters, the issue of the Essence count dropping back down to 1 when using degrading jewelry was also resolved.
On the console front, there are some fixes to menu functionality and world join restrictions. For PS5, you'll now be able to accept invites without a menu crash happening after signing out. For Xbox Series X, multiple users can now join your world rather than just allowing 1 user at a time as a host.
Other fixes include inventory and world save handling for across platforms. When casting Mucksplosion, you can now expect the spell to hit 3×3 as intended. Those corrupted World Saves that were vanishing for some users will now save as intended.
Jagex also resolved the failed initiation of download issue in the Jagex Launcher. The Jagex dev team confirmed these fixes with an addendum that official patch notes are not yet available. This hotfix carries on with the stability and balance focus from the most recent RuneScape: Dragonwilds update.
