Want to take the social interactions in Night City to the next level? Modder Adriansito introduced the 'Immersive NPCs' mod for Cyberpunk 2077. This latest update alters the way the player interacts with non-player characters, providing significant choices that impact relationship and combat situations.
New mod lets players turn strangers into followers or foes
The 'Immersive NPCs' mod seamlessly fits into the current game interface. It leverages the native prompt system, ensuring that players won't need to switch menus, thus maintaining the smoothness of gameplay during conversations.
When interacting with NPCs, players will find five additional options: Talk, Flirt, Provoke, Calm, and Challenge. The Flirt option could make the NPC your follower, engaging in combat alongside you. The Provoke option allows you to instigate confrontations with enemies or even the police. Conversely, the Calm option serves to halt these confrontations.
The Challenge option lets you engage NPCs in non-lethal fistfights. However, it excludes shop owners, crucial story NPCs, kids, and unconscious NPCs. We've been keeping an eye on Cyberpunk 2077 developments. Check out our previous coverage of Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.5 adds Dual.
The 'Immersive NPCs' mod brings a new layer of roleplaying options into the game. It opens doors to more engaging and unpredictable social interactions. Now, you can settle conflicts either with words or fists.

The native prompt integration is the key here. Most mods break the immersion by forcing a separate UI overlay that clashes with the HUD. Adriansito keeping it in the existing flow means no asset conflicts with other visual overhaul mods.
does the challenge mode actually use the brawling skill tree or is it just a separate minigame? iirc the base game combat gets clunky fast when you strip away guns.
It uses the base brawling tree. You still get perks and skill checks. It is not a separate minigame but a direct extension of the existing melee system.
