Suspect sent threatening envelopes to Nintendo's Kyoto office

Nintendo contacted police on March 16 after receiving the threats. Authorities investigated the envelopes but found no explosives. The man has admitted to the charges, and his motives are still under investigation.

The arrest follows a pattern of similar threats against Nintendo in 2024. Those earlier threats led to the cancellation of the Splatoon Finals and Nintendo Live 2024 events.

KTV News and Automaton reported on the arrest. Nintendo has not commented further on the incident or any potential security changes.
