Xbox Series X and Series S are playing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. How PC only games work on console gets completely different. The PC version is now running through Xbox Developer Mode by tech geeks for Xbox Series X and S. This is one way to get the PC version of the game working. It bypasses the Xbox Store, but opens up a big can of worms as far as stability goes if you are looking to play the game on other hardware.

Tech enthusiasts bypass Xbox Store to install PC version on Series X using Developer Mode
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered by Insomniac Games is on PC and PS5. However, this is not a native port on Xbox consoles. With the workaround, you are installing the PC version through Developer Mode.
Basically, this is what's needed to run the software on Xbox silicon. It is impressive what they are able to do, but by no means is it official and being supported by Microsoft or Insomniac Games.
You have to keep in mind memory limitations with this workaround. The Developer Mode only gives you about 5 GB of RAM and video memory. This is a huge limitation.
You are not going to be able to play the game with maximum graphics settings and high FPS. You need to lower the graphics in order to play the game, because it just can't handle it.
You have stability issues when you are actively playing. For example, during fights and web swinging. You can see the FPS counter over 120 at times.
However, in-game you are getting 20-60 FPS. There are also a lot of crashing when you start to tax it due to memory. You are getting a buggy game if you decide to install it this way.
We talked about the last Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered update. There are some common threads as far as balance and stability that were mentioned in the discussion. Here we have a perfect example of console exclusivity and hardware flexibility. Again, it is still an experiment and not a proper way to game for the average person with this workaround.
