An unofficial PC version of the canceled GoldenEye 007 remaster has been released. This version brings the classic Nintendo 64 shooter to modern computers with significant improvements.
Fan recompilation requires Xbox 360 ROM
The recompilation, created by fans, is based on the Xbox 360 XBLA ROM file. It does not include any in-game assets, so players must provide their own ROM.
The game runs at a smooth, stable 60 FPS with fixed GPU pacing. It supports online multiplayer via LAN, Hamachi, playit.gg, or a public server.
Controller support is included, and an in-game settings menu lets players adjust video display, resolution, frame limit, fullscreen, and online setup. Post-FX filters for brightness, contrast, saturation, and vignette are also available.
The project is available now worldwide. Keyboard and mouse support is not confirmed, according to the source.
