Asus is re-entering the mainstream tablet market with the new Asus Pad, a device that aims to compete on display quality and performance. The standout feature is its tandem OLED screen, a dual-layer design that promises improved brightness and longevity.
Tandem OLED display boosts brightness and longevity
The Asus Pad is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8300 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. The tablet runs Android 16, which includes AI-driven features.

Audio is handled by a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. The tablet packs a 9000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, reaching 50% in about 30 minutes. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Cameras include a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front-facing lens.
The Asus Pad measures 6.5mm thin and weighs 523 grams. It features a magnesium chassis with a fiberglass back, giving it a premium yet lightweight build. The tablet supports the Asus Pen 2.0 and a Bluetooth keyboard, enhancing productivity.
Asus has not yet announced pricing or availability for the Asus Pad. The tablet marks the company's return to the mainstream tablet segment after a period of focusing on other product lines. More details are expected closer to launch.
