Abxylute has launched a new mobile controller designed specifically for Viture XR glasses. The S9V variant replaces the audio jack found on the standard S9 model with a dedicated USB-C port for connecting XR glasses. This gives mobile gamers a second option alongside 8BitDo's similar controller.
Dedicated USB-C port for Viture glasses
The S9V is a telescopic controller that connects via USB-C to Android and iOS devices. It supports smartphones and compact tablets up to 216mm in length. A USB-C port on the bottom handles pass-through charging.
Specifications
- Joysticks: Full-size Hall Effect joysticks, interchangeable
- Triggers: Hall Effect analog triggers
- Back buttons: Programmable back buttons
- Screenshot key: Dedicated screenshot key
- Vibration: Dual vibration motors with four vibration levels
Key specs include full-size Hall Effect joysticks and Hall Effect analog triggers. The controller also has programmable back buttons, a dedicated screenshot key, and dual vibration motors with four levels. Abxylute says the joysticks, D-pad, and spacers are interchangeable; the box includes extra joysticks, D-pads, and silicone spacers.
The controller adds a gyroscope and turbo function. It supports multiple input modes: X-input, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Android. The dedicated USB-C port on the right grip is for Viture XR glasses only. Abxylute does not specify if the middle USB-C port supports audio.
The Abxylute S9V is priced at $79.99 and is available now on the manufacturer's website. That matches the price of 8BitDo's Viture-compatible controller.
The S9V is a direct variant of the Abxylute S9, swapping the audio jack for the XR glasses port. It offers similar features to the standard model but targets users who want to pair their phone with XR glasses for gaming or media.
