Mega Crit has released patch 0.105.0 for Slay the Spire 2 on the beta branch. The update removes the Doormaker boss and replaces it with a new encounter called Aeonglass.

Doormaker replaced by Aeonglass in Act Three

The developer explained that Doormaker had interesting micro decisions but exceeded the complexity threshold they wanted and had lingering issues. Starting over fresh allows them to hit their goals for an Act Three boss. The Defect class receives multiple buffs in this patch. A new Bestiary feature has been introduced. Three new Neow relics are added: Kaleidoscope, Fishing Rod, and Silken Tress. Various enemy and relic adjustments are included, along with bug fixes such as soft-lock prevention.

Beta patch cycle shifts from weekly to biweekly

The patch is live now on the beta branch.

Mega Crit has also changed the beta patch cycle from weekly to biweekly. The developer noted that while the first game was patched weekly, it was a lot of work and they found it unsustainable.
