Vantex's new Kickstarter for the V1, a split mechanical keyboard with a 45mm x 45mm touchpad built directly into the middle of the keyboard. With this design, you can switch seamlessly between typing and mouse movements without having to move your hands to another input device. It's ideal for typists who want to keep all their work in one device. It's also a handy option for anyone who cares about desk space and wants a comfortable, consistent typing experience.

You can choose between a wired and a wireless version. The wired option connects through a USB-C port. The wireless setup offers Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity, powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

Both versions use dye-sub PBT keycaps for longevity. It's compatible with Windows, macOS, and .

The wired version is available now on Kickstarter for $129. The wireless version begins at $159. Vantex notes that they're still testing the wireless version for battery performance and connectivity stability. They also point out the risks of potential delays in parts supply, assembly, and international shipping.

The Vantex V1 offers an interesting, hybrid input method for fans of mechanical keyboards. It merges a split, ergonomic keyboard with an integrated touch controller. Depending on your preferences, you can go with the wired or wireless setup. The Vantex V1 project is live on Kickstarter with clear pricing tiers.
