CDPR recalls BioWare's early support and confirms Witcher 4 release window

This anniversary was very much about how much technical and logistic help did BioWare give the Polish studio in the early 2000's. CD Projekt RED touched on the fact they received the Aurora Engine from BioWare, that would be used as the engine architecture for the first game. In addition to that, the studio received crucial development insights and booth space at E3 to give the game the kickstart it needed from BioWare.

In addition to the retrospective, the studio shared a bit on what's currently in the pipeline for the franchise. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get a new expansion next year, Songs of the Past. As for a new mainline game, The Witcher 4, is still on schedule for the release window of 2028.

The Witcher 3 Remaster Breaks Steam has recently been grabbing a lot of headlines about the continued success of the franchise on PC. The franchise is still getting attention from CD Projekt RED in terms of legacy updates, and new major releases. So players can expect more Geralt action with the upcoming expansion and new gen release.
