HP releases a 1.16 kg laptop with OLED screen and Intel Core 5 processor
The Intel Core 5 320 processor that's in this device is part of the Wildcat Lake family. The naming of this laptop is the Star Book Air 14, in China. The name internationally is the OmniBook 5 14. Having a different name allows them to appeal to different naming conventions in other regions while still using the same product.
Specifications
- Processor: Intel Core 5 320
- Display: 14-inch OLED touchscreen, 1920×1200
- Memory: 16GB
- Storage: 512GB SSD
- Weight: 1.16 kg
As for the screen, it's a 14" OLED display. The resolution is 1920×1200, and it's 10 point touch. You'll have 16GB of RAM along with a 512GB SSD for your storage needs.

HP says the 60Wh battery will last for up to 42.5 hours. That number is from HP directly, so battery life will vary based on what you're doing with the device. The laptop is now available for purchase in China for 5,299 yuan (roughly $793). Internationally, it's priced at $699.99.
We're seeing a need for lightweight OLED laptops in the mid range category. Having a nice modern Intel chip and a good screen is a nice combination for a general purpose laptop. We can confirm the specs and pricing is correct. Actual battery life performance will have to be tested in the wild for final results.
