Ubisoft released the Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3.1 update on September 22 to refine operator balance and fix persistent bugs. This patch, identified as version 3.49 or 1.000.154, targets specific gameplay details rather than overhauling the entire meta. Players should expect minor adjustments to weapon damage and operator abilities that improve consistency without shifting the core power dynamics.

Ubisoft releases patch 3.49 with operator refinements and stability fixes

The update introduces several targeted changes to existing operators and weapons. Buck receives more ammunition for his Skeleton Key, while Castle's defensive panels require slightly more effort to breach. Fenrir's gas trap deploys faster, and Maestro's drone battery lasts a bit longer. These tweaks aim to polish the experience for both attackers and defenders.

Weapon damage values have seen a modest increase across the board. The M1014 shotgun now deals 30 hit points of base damage, up from 28. The SPAS-15 shotgun follows suit with 26 hit points, compared to its previous 24. Thermite's Exothermic Charge also deals more damage, hitting for 220 hit points instead of 200. These changes make breaching tools and shotguns slightly more lethal in close quarters.

Operator action speeds and resource pools have also been adjusted. Sledge swings his Breaching Hammer faster, reducing the animation time to 0.8 seconds from 1 second. Fenrir's F-Natt Dread Mine gas reaches maximum range in 1.9 seconds, a slight reduction from the previous 2 seconds. Meanwhile, Maestro's Evil Eye battery life extends to 9 seconds, up from 8 seconds. These speed and resource tweaks allow for quicker reactions and sustained pressure.

We looked at the last Rainbow Six Siege update earlier while tracking balance changes, and the focus on stability remains consistent. Ubisoft stated that these small adjustments do not aim to alter an operator's overall power level or flexibility. The studio emphasizes that the goal is enhancing quality-of-life and improving consistency without shifting the meta. The patch also resolves multiple bugs related to Noor's Horus Lance interactions, map alignment, and UI issues.
