Ubisoft released Rainbow Six Siege update 3.41/1.000.146 on June 23, introducing balance changes that affect how players deploy gadgets and breach walls. These adjustments matter to competitive players because they alter the timing and range of key operator abilities. The patch targets specific interactions that previously allowed for unpredictable chaining or limited utility range.

Ubisoft adjusts cooldowns and ranges for seven operators in the latest game update

The update modifies the gadget cooldowns and ranges for operators Dokkaebi, Sens, IQ, Ash, Finka, Thatcher, and Thorn. Dokkaebi's JEGEO Payload now has a 7-second cooldown to prevent players from chaining activations too quickly. Sens receives a battery duration increase for the R.O.U. Projector System, which now lasts 15 seconds instead of 13.

IQ's Electronics Detector range increased from 20 to 22 meters, allowing defenders to spot enemies from further away. Ash's Breaching Round explosive damage range expanded from 2 meters to 2.2 meters, improving wall-clearing efficiency. Thatcher's E.G.S. Disruptor effect radius grew from 1.75 to 1.85 meters, making it easier to disable electronic gadgets.

Finka's Adrenal Surge cooldown reduced from 20 to 18 seconds, enabling more frequent use of the ability in combat. Thorn's Razorbloom Shell limping effect reduced from 15 to 10 seconds, lessening the duration of the movement penalty on hit. Bulletproof Camera's EMP Dart explosion range increased from 0.55 meters to 0.75 meters, improving its utility against shielded operators. The patch also fixes several gameplay, level design, operator, audio, and UX bugs.

When we covered the last rainbow six siege update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. This release continues that trend by refining operator mechanics to ensure fairer engagements. Players can expect these changes to be live immediately following the deployment on June 23.
