On the Steam Deck, Blades of Fire renders internally at 960×600 and upscales to 1280×800. The game supports the handheld's 16:10 aspect ratio. The default preset sets all graphical settings to minimum. MercurySteam implemented lighting simplifications and other optimizations to maintain visual quality. The shared memory architecture limited texture quality. Because of the Proton abstraction layer, some graphical features had to be adapted.

Blades of Fire launches on Steam on May 14, 2025.
MercurySteam provided a recommended button layout that uses the back buttons as additional inputs. Native Steam Input support could not be implemented, as it would have required excessively drastic changes to the input system, according to co-founder and CEO Enric Alvarez.
