Digital Bros has officially confirmed that a sequel to the action game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is in active development. This announcement matters because it signals strong commercial confidence in the original title, which exceeded revenue expectations shortly after launch. Buyers and fans of the genre can expect a new entry in the series from a studio with a proven track record on the first game.

Digital Bros and 505 Games partner on sequel with 21.5 million euro investment

The sequel will be developed by Chengdu Recursive Dolphin Technology, a studio founded by Xia Siyuan, who served as the creative director for the original Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Digital Bros acquired the full intellectual property rights to the franchise in April 2026, setting the stage for this new partnership. 505 Games will handle the publishing duties for the upcoming title.

Financial backing for the project includes an initial investment of Euro 21.5 million from 505 Games. This funding supports the development agreement between the publisher and the new development studio. The deal structure ensures that the sequel has dedicated resources from its earliest stages.

The financial justification for this investment is clear. The original Wuchang: Fallen Feathers generated over Euro 30 million in revenue within just eight months of its launch. This strong performance demonstrates a solid market demand for the franchise and validates the decision to pursue a sequel.
