IO Interactive released a minor patch for 007 First Light on June 26 that addresses several stability issues affecting PC players. This update brings the game to version 1.0.6 across all platforms and should reduce the frequency of unexpected crashes during gameplay. Players who have experienced technical difficulties with their hardware configurations will find these fixes relevant to their current experience.

Patch resolves dual-GPU conflicts and memory management issues

The update, identified as build 1.014 for console users, targets specific hardware conflicts that caused the game to fail at launch. IO Interactive focused on resolving integration problems with integrated graphics processors in dual-GPU PC setups. These systems previously crashed immediately upon starting the game, preventing access to the main menu.

Technical improvements in this patch include better management of GPU memory to lower the risk of Out-of-Memory errors. The developers also fixed a bug where HDR display settings would reset to default values every time the game restarted. This change ensures that visual preferences remain consistent between gaming sessions without requiring manual reconfiguration.

Mission-specific stability received attention with a fix for crashes occurring in the 'For England' mission. The issue triggered when players used the Missile Pen Gadget on explosive objects within the level. Players seeking to complete this mission without interruption will benefit from this targeted correction.

When we covered the last 007 first light update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The latest patch continues the developer's effort to refine technical performance following the initial release. The update is now available for download on all supported platforms.
