Vaio is introducing the Vaio T and Vaio T Work laptops, which bring a distinctive multi-flip hinge design to the 13.3-inch portable market. This mechanism allows the screen to rotate in ways that standard 360-degree convertibles cannot, offering users new positioning options for creative work or casual viewing. The devices target professionals and enthusiasts who need a compact machine that adapts to different workflows without sacrificing screen real estate.

The two models, identified as VCTNN1 and VBTNN1, share a nearly identical chassis but differ slightly in weight and intended use. The standard Vaio T weighs 1.253 kg, while the Vaio T Work is slightly heavier at 1.299 kg. Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with options including the Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 5 325. A special Kachiro Edition features the higher-end Core Ultra X7 358H chip for more demanding tasks.

Battery endurance varies based on the capacity chosen, with high-capacity models rated for 16.5 to 18 hours of video playback. Standard battery versions provide approximately 11.5 to 12.5 hours of runtime under similar conditions. Vaio has tested the hinge mechanism for durability and states that the laptops have passed MIL-STD-810H standards. Orders for the Vaio T and Vaio T Work will open in Japan on September 18, 2026. Both models are scheduled for release on September 22, 2026.
