Funcom announces that they are taking their cooperative sandbox survival game, Aloft, to the PlayStation 5. With the console launch of Aloft, console gamers can now enjoy the game along with the full launch on PC through Steam in early 2027. For those that enjoy playing games on consoles, now you can get into the open world without having to get a PC.
Console version includes all Early Access updates and matches PC gameplay
Aloft is a colorful open world title from developer Astrolabe Interactive that's being published by Funcom. In the game, you can either build cozy skyships in the clouds or uncover the mysteries of the past. Aloft also gives you the option to go into the open world solo, or with friends in a cooperative manner.
Aloft coming to PlayStation 5 will be the exact same gameplay as PC. So, you'll get the full experience of the game with the five updates that dropped during the game's Early Access period along with the massive 1.0 update. So says Funcom in their announcement for the console launch.
Aloft initially launched in Early Access on PC on January 15, 2025. The full launch of Aloft on PC and PS5 is slated for early 2027. So, by that time, you'll be able to have the full experience that PC players in Early Access have already had.
