Samsung confirms Galaxy Tab S12 and Galaxy S26 FE for late 2026 launch. FCC data reveals Tab S12+ 5G connectivity and chipset details for the upcoming devices.

Samsung confirmed it is launching the Galaxy Tab S12 tablet and Galaxy S26 FE smartphone during its second-quarter earnings call on July 30, 2026. This update matters to buyers because it clarifies Samsung's strategy for the second half of 2026, focusing on premium tablets and an affordable smartphone to maintain sales momentum. We can now expect these devices to arrive later this year, filling specific gaps in the company's current lineup.

Tablet and smartphone models arrive in second half of 2026

The Galaxy Tab S12 series appears to include multiple models, with the Galaxy Tab S12+ recently appearing in FCC certification. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is tipped to feature a large 14.6-inch AMOLED display. Samsung plans to launch these new premium products alongside a new foldable series and the Watch Ultra 2. The company aims to manage financial difficulties by ensuring the successful launch of these high-end items.

The Galaxy Tab S12 and Galaxy S26 FE are expected to use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 series chipset. The US cellular variant of the Galaxy Tab S12+ supports 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and GNSS connectivity. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is also rumored to include an 11,600mAh battery with 45W charging support. These specifications suggest a focus on performance and connectivity for the tablet lineup.

The Galaxy S26 FE is confirmed as an upcoming affordable model in the S26 series. It is tipped to feature the Exynos 2500 chipset and support 45W wired charging. Samsung stated it will maintain S26 momentum through sustained marketing and the launch of the new S26 FE. The company is also expanding upselling in mid-to-high-end segments by bringing core AI experiences to the A series.

Samsung has not confirmed the exact models in the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 lineup or the specific launch date for the S26 FE. Daniel Araujo noted that the launch timeline and other details about the smartphone were not officially disclosed.
