Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ Design Confirmed: Bezels, Not Punch-Hole
ANDROID

Samsung is preparing to refresh its flagship tablet lineup, and the first visual details of the Galaxy Tab S12+ have emerged from regulatory filings. This certification update matters because it confirms the physical design of the device, specifically resolving long-standing speculation about the front camera location. Buyers looking for a large-screen Android tablet can now see how Samsung is handling the front-facing sensor integration.

Certification images show bezel camera, contradicting punch-hole rumors

The Galaxy Tab S12+ has received certification from Safety Korea, a move that typically precedes a product launch. The filing identifies two distinct model numbers for the device. The Wi-Fi only variant carries the model number SM-X840. Samsung also submitted the 5G capable version, which is designated as SM-X846N for the Korean market.

Certification images released alongside the filing provide the first clear look at the tablet's front face. The images show a front-facing camera embedded directly into the display bezel. This design choice contradicts earlier rumors that suggested a punch-hole cutout in the screen area. The visual evidence confirms a bezel-mounted sensor rather than an in-display solution.

We touched on Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series Rumored in our earlier Samsung coverage. Previous leaks have suggested the tablet might use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. The Ultra variant of the series is also tipped to feature a 14.6-inch display. These specifications remain unconfirmed by the current certification listing.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S12+ alongside the Galaxy S26 FE. The projected launch window for this event is September or October 2026. The certification marks a concrete step toward the official release of the device.
