Razer has announced a Signature Edition of their PS5 and PC game controller: the Raiju V3 Pro. This version of the game controller adds more premium materials without changing the core game functions of the controller. The Signature Edition is aimed towards gamers that will appreciate its magnesium alloy body and aesthetics more than a light weight build and lower price point.
Premium magnesium alloy frame and glass touchpad replace plastic on PS5 controller
For reference, the normal edition of the controller had a launch price point of $220. That should serve as a launching off point for this premium version.
Specifications
- Exoskeleton Material: Magnesium alloy
- Thumbsticks: TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance)
- Polling Rate: 2,000 Hz
- Touchpad: Laser-etched glass
- Compatibility: PS5, PC
The Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition will still have the original TMR thumbsticks found on the original Raiju V3 Pro. It will also still have its removable back buttons for a very familiar game experience. The controller is officially supported on PS5 console and PC.
That gives hybrid gamers the most options possible to enjoy the controller with. Also, the controller will have a 2,000 Hz polling rate when connected to the supplied wireless dongle.
The most noticeable change to the controller is its magnesium alloy exoskeleton. The basic plastic enclosure has been replaced with an open-air structure. Additionally, this exoskeleton upgrade will also include a laser-etched glass touchpad on the face of the controller. Oddly enough, these holes and structure changes don't add more than two grams to the weight of the controller when compared to the base model.
Pricing and availability date for this Signature Edition of the controller has yet to be revealed by Razer. The controller has been announced by Razer but information regarding price and availability have not yet been provided. Gamers will have to wait and see what is announced next in order to grab this device.

The base model is two hundred twenty dollars. How much premium for glass and magnesium? ngl I need a number before I care.
The article confirms pricing is still TBD. No launch date either. We are flying blind on cost.
Two grams heavier. The structural integrity of that open-air frame is the real story here. Plastic feels cheap anyway.
2000hz polling is nice but my usb port might throttle it 😅
I will wait for the price drop. The standard version is plenty for now. No rush to pay extra for a glass touchpad.
TMR sticks are a huge upgrade for drift resistance. The magnesium frame should feel solid in hand too. Hope the battery life stays decent with these materials.
