The Pokemon Company is launching a unique hospitality experience that lets guests sleep inside a giant Poke Ball. This collaboration brings the iconic gaming franchise into the physical world through a partnership with luxury hotel operator Not A Hotel and the mobile game Pokemon Sleep. The project targets fans who want an immersive stay in Hokkaido, Japan, rather than a standard hotel room.

Luxury spherical pods offer forest views for two guests

The core of the experience is a spherical sleeping pod designed to look like a Poke Ball. The interior features a large circular bed that comfortably fits two people. A glass viewing window allows guests to look out at the surrounding forest scenery while resting.

This 'Luxury Ball' concept combines the brand's gaming identity with high-end accommodation standards. The design prioritizes the visual appeal of the sphere while providing necessary sleeping amenities. The collaboration ensures the experience aligns with the aesthetic of the Pokemon Sleep application.

Interested guests must apply for a stay through a process that will be detailed on September 15, 2026. The application window opens on that date, and specific selection criteria for the interior experience will also be revealed then. We looked at similar themed hospitality projects earlier while tracking gaming merchandise trends.
