OnePlus has resumed the rollout of OxygenOS updates after fixing a bootloop issue that affected several devices. The company paused the update on May 15 due to abnormal restarts and boot problems on a small number of units. The bug has now been identified and resolved, and the rollout is live again.
OxygenOS update brings Luminous Rendering Engine and AI offline translation
The updates bring the Luminous Rendering Engine for smoother animations across the floating window, notification drawer, and Quick Settings. Other additions include AI offline translation for restaurant menus with currency conversions and allergens, an upgraded document scanner that auto-saves and recognizes handwriting, a dual-mode lock screen with notification capsules, new Camera Master presets, improved battery usage stats, and the May 2026 Android security patch.
The OnePlus 13, 13S, Nord CE6, CE6 Lite, and 12R updates are currently rolling out in India, with other regions expected to follow soon. The OnePlus 15 update is rolling out globally.
The Nord CE6 and CE6 Lite updates focus on stability, better camera previews, enhanced network reliability, and smoother gaming at higher frame rates. The OnePlus 12R update only includes the May 2026 security patch.
OnePlus has not confirmed a timeline for the global expansion beyond India. The company is using an incremental rollout, so the update may take a few days to reach all devices.
