Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 Launches with Snapdragon X2 and 33+ Hour Battery

Lenovo has launched the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11, a new 14-inch convertible laptop. The device is powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 chipset.

Snapdragon X2 Plus powers the new convertible

The laptop offers up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9523 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. It features a 60 Wh battery, which Lenovo claims delivers over 33 hours of 1080p local video playback at 150 nits. That is more than 50 percent longer than the previous model's 21.5 hours. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7. Buyers can choose between two display options: an OLED panel with 600 nits peak brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3 color coverage, or an IPS panel with 400 nits and 45 percent NTSC color space.

The IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 is available now in the UK, Eurozone, and Australia. Pricing starts at 1110 GBP (about $1,481) in the UK, ranges from 1,159 to 1,350 EUR in the Eurozone, and starts at 2199 AUD (about $1,574) in Australia.

The new model succeeds Lenovo's earlier 2-in-1 laptops in the IdeaPad 5 series. The Snapdragon X2 Plus chipset and larger battery mark a significant upgrade in performance and endurance compared to its predecessor.
