Players waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 can now mark their calendars with precise unlock times for the PlayStation 5. The global rollout begins on November 18, giving New Zealand residents the earliest access to the title. This schedule helps buyers plan their launch day activities across multiple time zones.
New Zealand players access the title first while US and Canada wait until November 19
Rockstar Games has structured the release window to prioritize specific regions before expanding to North America. New Zealand players will be the first to access the game at 11:00 UTC on November 18. Digital pre-loads for the title begin earlier on November 12 to ensure systems are ready.
The unlock schedule for US and Canada PS5 users targets midnight EST on November 19. This translates to 05:00 UTC, providing a clear window for players in those markets. No early access is available for either PS5 or Xbox pre-orders, meaning all players must wait for the official unlock times.
Xbox users may gain a practical advantage through region switching capabilities built into the console. Microsoft allows users to easily change their region in system settings, potentially letting Xbox owners access the New Zealand unlock window. This workaround could give some players a head start on the global release.
