This week, TYPE-MOON and company dropped a new character trailer for Fate/EXTRA Record. The new trailer provides a new insight into the game's cast of characters ahead of the January 28, 2027 launch of the game. Fate fans looking to buy the game now have a new character to look forward to in addition to knowing when the game is launching.
New trailer reveals twin Masters ALICE ahead of January 2027 release
This new trailer focuses on a character named ALICE. ALICE is one of the first twin Masters as part of the game's story. Aniplex, Meteorise, and TYPE-MOON released this new trailer to explain the character's place in the story. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam.
ALICE is played by voice actor Ai Nonaka. Her lines reveal a somewhat mysterious character. The description claims she and her twin view adversaries as more of playmates than a threat to their life. It's a jarring statement in the context of the high-stakes nature of the Holy Grail War.
We've been keeping up with the game's development through other trailers. One of those trailers featured an in-depth look at the Archer's ranged fighting style. That trailer offered insight into the game's tactical depth that players can look forward to when the game releases. The new ALICE trailer brings in more narrative insight on top of these mechanical teasers.

Twin masters as playmates in a death game is a solid trope.
