Elden Ring movie adaptation now set for March 3, 2028 theatrical release. The announcement pins down the release for 2028. This means the fans finally have a date to look forward to when the world of Elden Ring gets to be experienced on the big screen. The set release window is indicative of the fact that post-production work on the movie is almost over.
A24 adaptation features Kit Connor and Alex Garland script
The movie adaptation of the acclaimed video game series is being produced by A24. Alex Garland scripted it. The screenplay is said to be at least 180 pages. This means the movie has a big story in it that easily has 3 hours of content.
The cast includes the lead Kit Connor. The rest of the cast includes Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce and Nick Offerman. The movie finished shooting this past summer and the post-production is being handled by Industrial Light & Magic. Financial aspects of the project were not discussed by the studio.
According to the media, the budget of the film could be close to $200 million. This would make it the most expensive movie in A24's history. It's not clear what would be the final running time of the movie.
The huge script has illustrations in it and some of the footage could be cut. Elden Ring movie will release on March 3, 2028 in theaters.

A two hundred million budget is insane for a game adaptation. Most fail at half that price.
