The Dying Light community has rallied to support a super fan battling thyroid cancer. Christine 'GamerMom1969' Ryan, a dedicated member of the community, started a crowdfunding campaign to cover her medical expenses. The campaign has raised over $3,000 from fellow players.

Techland, the developer of Dying Light, contributed over $2,000 to the fundraiser. The donation was made through Júlia Nadolska-Félix. Roger Craig Smith, the voice actor for protagonist Kyle Crane, also donated $300.

Ryan shared her situation in a plea to the community. She said she has no savings and was on short-term disability after her first surgery. She faces another surgery to remove her thyroid completely. She asked for help with donations or shares of her campaign.

The Dying Light official account also promoted the fundraiser. It described Ryan as a beloved community member known for her contributions and support. Smith called her one of the most dedicated fans of the series he has ever known.

Techland has not confirmed any further plans to support Ryan beyond the initial donation. The exact timeline for her second surgery remains unclear.
