Square Enix has announced that the Dragon Quest I collaboration event in Dragon Quest Smash/Grow will conclude on June 16, 2026, at 2:59 am UTC. The limited-time crossover brings exclusive gear and currency to players who have not yet completed the full event route.

Square Enix closes limited-time crossover rewards and login bonuses on June 16

The most notable items leaving the game are Erdrick's Sword and the Dragonlord's Staff. These S-tier banner weapons feature unique abilities like Gigaslash Coup de Grace and Kasizz Coup de Grace, but they will not return after the event closes. Daily login bonuses also end on June 16, offering up to 1,200 gems in total for consistent check-ins.

Players can continue exchanging DQ I event coins until the Swap Shop window closes on the same date. Chapter 3 content currently focuses on clearing the Dragonlord Shrine and Erdrick's Hollow route. Gold Golems spawn across Alefgard maps to help players maximize their coin income before the final deadline.

Square Enix has not yet announced which collaboration will follow this event. Industry observers note that a Dragon Quest II crossover is likely, given the recent launch of the HD-2D Remake for both titles last October. The DQSG Classified Report video series serves as the primary channel for future announcements.
