Irdeto's Denuvo anti-tamper protection has reportedly been fully bypassed. According to the CrackWatch subreddit, every game protected by Denuvo, including VR titles, has now been cracked or bypassed. This follows a previous report that Irdeto's protection had already been broken for all non-VR games.

The bypass method works by using a hypervisor that sits below the PC kernel. It feeds false information to the DRM, tricking it into thinking the system is secure. This technique allows the protected software to run without the anti-tamper checks being effective.

Denuvo Anti-Tamper protection from Irdeto bypassed via hypervisor method
The hypervisor-based bypass feeds false data to the DRM below the kernel.

Irdeto stated in March that it was working on countermeasures against such bypasses. The company has not independently confirmed the latest reports from CrackWatch. Major security researchers have also not verified the claims.

It remains unclear whether Irdeto will accelerate its countermeasure efforts in response to this news. The company has not confirmed a timeline for any updated protection. The gaming industry continues to watch how the DRM provider will respond to the widespread bypass reports.
