New modes launch September 29 with Ford vehicles and shared currency
SCS Software is releasing the 'Road Trip: Ford' expansion on September 29. This content pack introduces Ford vehicles to the game alongside two new gameplay modes. The update allows players to switch from driving trucks to operating coaches or ordinary cars.
The new modes include Coach Mode for buses and Car Mode for passenger vehicles. Progression levels and unlocks remain separate for each vehicle type. However, money and virtual driver fatigue are shared across all modes. Navigation systems are tied to the last driven mode and activate only after starting a drive.
Players can use their trucking income to purchase buses or cars for road trip exploration. The developers noted that the current navigation limitation might change in future updates. This expansion adds variety to the simulation experience by allowing different travel styles.
