Activision establishes new Polish studio to develop a reactive open-world RPG

Activision's studio called Elsewhere was formed in 2024 to work on this ambitious project. It's a subsidiary of Activision based in Poland. The team is in its early stages of developing a new IP.

We don't have any official visuals and specific details about gameplay mechanics to share at this moment. But there are first glimpses of what the game might be about in a recent job ad for the position of Associate Animation Director. The job ad talks about a system that makes characters/factions react dynamically to players' actions.

It sounds like the hero's actions are going to be remembered in the open world and the world will change its attitude towards you accordingly. There is going to be some kind of dynamic interaction with the world, with factions/characters reacting to your actions. Based on job ads, we know that. Activision claims they want to rival big games like GTA VI or Cyberpunk 2077 with this new project.
