Over on Nexus Mods, modder charlotte27k has just released two mods for Cyberpunk 2077 that move the gameplay more towards the direction of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. Specifically, they introduce fuel consumption mechanics and GTA style wanted levels interface to Night City. These could be quite handy for players looking for a more in-depth vehicle simulation experience or want to use more familiar open-world tracking methods for their next game.

Modder charlotte27k releases fuel consumption and GTA-style HUD mods for Night City
The first mod is an implementation of a full fuel system into Cyberpunk 2077. In other words, vehicles now have fuel tanks and will be consuming gas, depending on how fast you're driving. To make this new mechanic possible, they have also added refuel stations around Night City.
Gas prices in the different regions vary. For example, in City Center, you'll be paying around 2.5 eddies per liter of gas. In Dogtown you'll be paying around 4.5 eddies per liter.
The second mod revamps the heads-up display to feel more like the user interface of the Grand Theft Auto series. This means we get a wanted level stars indicator, a borderless minimap, GPS navigation and a detailed weapon / ammo info. All these UI changes strive to match the realism and mechanics of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI.
As you might remember from our last Cyberpunk 2077 update roundup, some of the same topics came up, including balance and stability. Now, these new mods extend that idea of improving the immersion factor with realistic resources management and known UI. You can now download both of these mods from Nexus Mods.
