Pearl Abyss has released a new update for the action role-playing game Crimson Desert. The patch introduces a significant expansion to the game's mount system. Players can now permanently tame a wide variety of animals after gaining their trust. The new roster includes bears, boars, wolves, deer, mountain goats, iguanas, raptors, camels, lions, tigers, and kuku birds.

An Extraction feature at smithies reverts refined gear to its original base level.
The update also adds an Extraction feature at smithies. This mechanic allows players to revert refined gear back to its original base level. Doing so returns all special materials used in the refinement. Players recover 70 percent of the common materials as well. This system helps conserve resources for future crafting efforts.
Several quality of life improvements accompany the new content. The game now includes 'X all' commands to clean, butcher, and siphon seeds in bulk. Swords have been updated to include visible sheaths. A new item called the Sigil of Valor enables pet dogs to attack enemies automatically. A claw machine at the Laughing Marionette NPC offers lighting items, chairs, headgear, Abyss Artifacts, and Abyss Gears.
The developer continues to release frequent updates for the title. One writer noted that the latest patch is particularly appealing to mount collectors. There is some uncertainty regarding legendary lions. It remains unclear if these specific lions are available as mounts or how to acquire them if they have already been defeated.
