The official forums for RPG Maker are shutting down permanently on December 11, 2026. The developer behind the software is removing all community content from the site without providing a public archive or backup.

Developer removes all tutorials guides and resources without providing a public archive or backup for the fourteen year old site.

Gotcha Gotcha Games manages the RPG Maker ecosystem and has directed users to migrate their activity to a new platform called RPG Maker Guild. The transition eliminates the legacy rpgmakerweb.com domain as the central hub for discussions, tutorials, and guides.

The company disabled new account registrations on June 11 before switching the forum to read-only mode on June 18. This one-week window allowed existing members to manually organize their posts and resources before permanent deletion began.

All material dating back to 2012 will vanish from the public web once the shutdown completes. The accompanying FAQ confirmed that no official archive or backup would be provided for the tutorials, guides, and community resources generated over fourteen years.

One forum user noted that the site is over a decade old and deserves at least some form of preservation during the transition period. Gotcha Gotcha Games has not offered an alternative storage solution or third-party migration tool to address this concern.
